Can you hear the roar in the distance? It's getting closer...
On Friday, May 19, you're invited to a special preview of Heroes of Bavaria: 75 Years of BMW Motorsport. In partnership with BMW of North America and private collectors, the BMW CCA Foundation will assemble 15-18 exceptionally rare and legendary examples of Bavarian race machinery.
YOU MUST BUY TICKETS THROUGH THE EVENTBRITE LINK TO ATTEND THIS EVENT.
Get acquainted with the 1937 BMW 328 that won at the Zandvoort Grand Prix in 1939, the monster 3.0 CSL Group 5, the championship PTG E46 M3 GT, the Williams FW-22 Formula One car, the RLL Z4 GT and plenty more. Unless you visited the BMW 100th Anniversary exhibition at Laguna Seca last summer, chances are you've never seen this many BMW race cars in one shot. You might just ausflippen.
Heroes of Bavaria will be open to the public through August 2017. But on May 19, you'll be getting the first look. There are significant bragging rights at stake here. So much fodder for Facebook and Instagram. Don't blow it.
We're charging $20 per person ($10 for kids) for this experience. Here's why. Your BMW CCA Foundation is a nonprofit organization, and exists only through the generosity of its donors. Your admission fee will help to sustain the CCA Foundation Museum & Archive, and it will also help fund Tire Rack Street Survival, a national car-control training program for teenage drivers. We're grateful to you for your support, and we'll be excellent stewards of your investment.
You'll leave with something cool. Your admission fee includes a special Heroes of Bavaria collectible for you to take home. You'll love it...promise.
Food Trucks will be waiting onsite. You will have the ability to purchase lunch from top-quality food trucks parked onsite (lunch is not included in your admission fee). There are also several restaurants located at exits 63 and 54 on Interstate 85.
This place is worth seeing. The BMW CCA Foundation Museum & Archive is located just 50 minutes south of the Vintage host hotel, directly next door to the BMW Performance Center, and across the street from BMW's largest manufacturing center. The Museum & Archive currently preserves about 45,000 BMW-related items, from rare cars to engines to art. It's the largest such collection in the Americas. And if you're a member of the BMW Car Club of America, it belongs to you.
